MAYNARD D. BAKER, SR.

Originally, Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home was located in Warrensburg, New York.  This location operated for seventeen years.  It was then sold, renamed, and remains today as an independent funeral firm.  When Maynard D. Baker, Sr. retired from funeral directing in 1986, it was his intention to serve his community.

He did so in serving as Supervisor of Warrensburg, NY for ten years.  Maynard continued to watch the trends in the funeral industry especially as they relate to the upstate New York area.  He became convinced that the community would benefit by the addition of an independent, family-owned funeral home.

Here,  Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home was reborn--and relocated to Queensbury, New York.

Maynard, Sr. graduated in 1969 from McAllister Institute of Funeral Directing, New York City.

STARR BAKER RAFFERTY

Starr is the daughter of Maynard Sr.  She is a licensed funeral director, having graduated from Simmons Institute of Funeral Service, Syracuse, NY, in 1984.  She has worked very closely with her father through the years growing up in the funeral service and continues today to work with her dad as a team to provide care and compassion to the families they serve in their time of need.

Starr is a dedicated mother of three children, who is actively involved in various local community functions.  She is a believer in continually pursuing her education, most recently graduating from Adirondack Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Applied Science, and currently using her registered nursing license part time at a local facility as a way to give back to the community.

CLIFFORD R. GATES

Cliff and his wife Linda live in Warrensburg where he operates his monument business, Gates Cemetery Monuments. Following graduation from Lake George High School, class of 1965, he became a NY State Trooper retiring in1985 after 20 years of service.  He then attended Hudson Valley Community College becoming a licensed funeral director January of 1990.  His experience and compassion makes Cliff a valuable asset at the Baker Funeral Home and we are very pleased to have him a part of our staff.
