Why preplan your future needs?

Arranging a funeral involves numerous decisions.  The process of arranging a funeral can be just as involved as planning a wedding.  There are so many choices available that only you can confidently state your preferences.

Preplanning can also save you money.  Sometimes, people are hesitant to discuss funeral costs.  In preplanning you can be assured of directing the costs according to your desires.

When you preplan without prepaying, your plan is kept on file until it is needed.  Your estate will have to pay for the services at the rates being charged when your funeral is held.

What happens when I prepay my funeral?

As well as preplanning, you can also prepay your funeral. There are two ways to prepay.  You can enter into an agreement with a funeral home, and the money will be held in the name of the funeral home as trustee for you.  Or, you can deposit the money in a bank passbook account for the benefit of the funeral home.  Either way, you agree to pay a specified amount of money in one lump sum or in installments.

I've already preplanned and prepaid.  Can I change my arrangements?

Definitely.  Changing your arrangements by choosing an alternate funeral firm can sometimes be beneficial.  You may find a new choice which offers a significant cost savings.  You may have relocated and wish to use a local firm.  Reasons for changing your prearrangements are numerous.
