Obituary

Aaron Jason Smith, 49, of Glens Falls, died unexpectedly after a short illness of pneumonia.

Born May 2, 1974, in Woodbridge, Virginia, he was the son of William Smith (Audrey) and Kristine Carl.

Aaron graduated high school at Brockport and went on to get his certificate in dog grooming. He had a passion for animals and loved dogs. Aaron enjoyed spending time with his dogs out hiking and playing ball. He loved to cook and had multiple jobs as a chef, but his love of dogs brought him back to his passion of grooming. He was well known in the community for his amazing grooming skills and his compassionate way with animals. Aaron loved classic rock, documentaries, Howard Stern, Judge Judy and being a good friend to everyone. During the pandemic he met all kinds of new people being an Uber driver and everyone loved him. He had a gorgeous smile and quick wit about him, and he always had to have the last word. He will be greatly missed by so many.

Aaron is predeceased by his mother, Kristine Carl of Warren, Massachusetts.

Left behind to remember him are his father, William Smith (Audrey) of Seneca Falls; his brother, William Smith of Granville; sister Alice Willis (Brian) of Deltona, Florida and their four children, Derek Willis (Rasa), Adam Willis, Rafael Willis and JR Willis; brothers, Charles Smith (Cindy) of Daytona, Florida, Thomas Smith (Erika) of Seneca Falls and their twin children, Maxwell and Vivian Smith; former wife and very close friend, Kelly Smith; step-daughter, Cheyenne McQuain (Adam); and good friend, Kim Polunchi. Most importantly, Aaron leaves behind his three "children," his dogs, who were his life and whole heart, Manny, Stuart and BooBoo. They were his everything. He loved them when no one else would.

Special thanks to the Glens Falls Police Department and Brian Mulcahey for all their help and kindness.
