GLENS FALLS --- Acton R. "Peet" Peets, 89, known for his humorous personality, left us on Saturday December 7, 2024.

He was born on October 5, 1935, in Hebron, NY to Raymond C. and Ethel J. (Palmer) Peets.

Following high school, Peet was a long-time employee of Niagara Mohawk.

Peet met the love of his life while in the military at a social dance in England and married shortly after. Once married they moved to Glens Falls, NY.

In addition to his parents, Peet was predeceased by his beloved wife since 1954, Joan Peets, daughter Karen Elizabeth Peets, sisters Joanne Peets and Ramona Jackson, brother Butch Peets.

Although he is gone, he will live on in our hearts forever. Those left to cherish his memory are his four sons, Stephen Peets of Glens Falls, NY, Robert Peets and his wife Dayle of Mary Esther FL, David Peets and his wife Carolina of Stockholm Sweden, Timothy Plummer and his wife Michelle of Guilderland, NY, and his daughter Deborah Clute and her husband Kevin of Orlando, Florida; thirteen grandchildren Dawn Peets and her husband Josh of Greenwich, NY, Stephanie Peets and her husband Corey of Hoosick Falls, NY, Karen Okerlund and her husband Matt, of Seattle, WA, Joanna Peets and her partner Lorenzo of Mary Esther FL, Robert J. Peets of Mary Esther FL, Matt Peets and his wife Malarie of Louisville KY, Oliver and Adam Peets of Stockholm Sweden, Timothy, Jordan and James Plummer of Guilderland, NY, Kennedy Becerril and Kiedis Clute of Orlando, Florida; great grandchildren Amber Hart and her husband Jason of Greenwich, NY, Jacquelyn Dianne Rock of Guilderland, NY, Reagan, Madison, William and Corey Kessler of Hoosick Falls, NY, Lyla Okerlund of Seattle, WA, Kayden and Kamani Peets, Kairo and Kross Adams of Mary Esther FL, Sophia, Ella and Mason Peets of Milwaukee, WI, Ronan and Lakelyn Peets of Louisville KY; two great-great grandchildren Misa and Kieran Hart of Greenwich, NY; one brother Bill Peets of Charleston, SC; one sister Valarie Decoste of East Greenbush, NY.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafyette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral will immediately follow at the funeral home with the Rev. Stephen Peets officiating.

A graveside ceremony will be held at Pine View Cemetery, 21 Quaker Rd., Queensbury, NY 12804.
