Obituary

CORINTH --- Adam J. Good , 83, of Warren Street, Corinth and formerly of South Glens Falls, passed away on May 24, 2014 at Crescent Manor Nursing Home following a long illness.

Adam was born in Schenectady on September 27, 1930, the eldest son of the late Adam Good and Alice (Dancy) Good. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked for the NY Central Railroad before retiring and starting a second career as a bus driver for Trailways and Tauck Tours, making many friends along the way and racking up many safe driving miles.

In addition to his parents, Adam is predeceased by his wife, Sharon R. Good.

He is survived by his dear friend of many years, Eleanor Reese of Altamont and her daughters who called him "Dad", J. Leslie Becker, Deborah Kirstein of Poughkeepsie, and Susan (Rick) Tymchyn of Altamont; his godson, Mitchell Seymour; his siblings, Benjamin (Fran) Good of Guilderland, Peter Good of Saratoga Springs, Susanna Lloyd of Saratoga Springs, and Anne Plati of Bennington, Vermont; and many nieces and nephews including his great-niece, Bonnie Sharon Walerstein. He was cared for at home the last years of his life by his nieces, Vallen Mayes and Jessica Walerstein. He was very much loved and will be truly missed by his sisters-in-law Sharie (Jay) Walerstein of Corinth, Garnet (John) Neve of Queensbury, Mickeylee (Rusty) Monroe of Warrensburg, Sheila (Ed) Carpenter of Warrensburg, and Colleen (Jerry) Combs of Chestertown.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 6, 2014 at Southside Cemetery, South Glens Falls.
