WARRENSBURG -- Alice Louise Cameron, "Louisa" to all who knew her, 76, of Marion Ave., died peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours on Sunday, December 14, 2014 after a long illness.
Born on April 16, 1938 in Warrensburg, she was the daughter of John G. and Annette I. (Cross) Cameron. Louisa grew up there and in Johnsburg.
Louisa never married and spent most of her life in the food and beverage service industry. During the last several years of her career she was a Home Health Aide for Warren County.
Louisa was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of Warrensburg V.F.W. Haskell Brothers Post No. 4821for many years.
In addition to her parents, Louisa was predeceased by a brother, Stephen Cameron in 1997.
She is survived by a brother, Michael Cameron and his wife, Debi, of Laurel, Maryland, and by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will take place Saturday, May 2 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, with a memorial service to follow at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will be private to the family.
