GANSEVOORT --- Ann E. DeFayette, 87, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, with loved ones by her side.

Born June 1, 1936, in Lyon Mtn., N.Y., she was the daughter of Riley and Lorraine (Roberts) Farrell.

On November 20, 1954, Ann married the love of her life, Clayton DeFayette at St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mtn.

Ann dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home mother to her 5 children.

She had many enjoyments including, Embroidery, Crocheting, indoor/outdoor decorating, she was also an avid reader. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her husband, Clayton A. DeFayette; her son, Michael Joseph DeFayette; and a grandson, Clay DeFayette.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Patrick DeFayette of Brandywine, MD; her twin boys, Andrew and Brian DeFayette, both of Knoxville, TN; her daughter, Andrea DeFayette-Langlois of Gansevoort; her grandchildren, Melissa DeFayette, Christina Lopez, Kathryn Garcia, Jennifer DeFayette, Nicole DeFayette, and Joseph DeFayette, all of MD, Danielle Smith of VA, Kelsey Keele and Kevin DeFayette, both of MS, and Michael Warren and Sierra Langlois, both of Gansevoort; 19 great-grandchildren; her sister, Ruth Farrell of Lyon Mtn.; her brother, John Farrell, of Lyon Mtn., and her brother, Larry Farrell, of ME.

A graveside ceremony will take place at St. Bernard's Cemetery, 10 Church Pond Rd., Lyon Mountain, N.Y. 12952.
