Obituary

QUEENSBURY --- Anthony "Andy" V. Stanco, 77, of Moonhill Rd. passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 unexpectedly.

Born on September 22, 1939 in Mineola, Long Island, NY, he was the son of the late Angelo Michael and Lena (Capobianco) Stanco.

Andy operated a small trucking business in Long Island before building, owning, and operating The Adirondack Motel and Little Tony's Diner in Lake George, NY until 2005's "retirement".

Andy married Joan E. Mollitor on August 20, 1960 in Bayville, NY.

He had an extremely special relationship with his son and they spent much time working together in the yard on projects and acquiring a little bit of everything. They were always together and not a day went by that they didn't see one another.

He treasured and enjoyed every moment he shared with his 3 grandchildren. He picked them up from school, spent countless moment playing outdoors with them, and took great pride in watching them grow. His garden was his summer pride and an opportunity to teach his grandchildren about patience.

In addition to his parents Andy was predeceased by six sisters and one brother.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of nearly 57 years, Joan; his son and wife, Anthony P. and Kimberly Stanco of South Glens Falls and their three children, Lara-Ann, Morgan, and Anthony Stanco.

Calling hours will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church, Lake George.

A memorial mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Nellis Tremblay officiating.

A gathering will be held at the family home following all services.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all first responders and Glens Falls Hospital.
