BOLTON LANDING – Arnold E. French, 83, of Second St., Bolton Landing, has been reunited in the arms of his loving wife of 62 years in Heaven, on Wednesday, March 26, 2014.

Born Aug. 11, 1930 in Bolton Landing, he was the son of the late Charles and Cordellia (Baker) French.

Arnold loved spending time gardening and woodworking but most of all he was an all around family guy. He spent hours with his children and grandchildren where his most cherished memories were made.

Arnold had retired from the Town of Bolton Highway Dept. as an equipment operator and was a member, and past chief, of Bolton Fire Dept. for over 30 years, as well as, a member of Bolton Rescue Squad years ago. Overall he was a very hard working man and did what he could for his family and community.

Arnold was predeceased by his loving wife in 2013.

Survivors include his children, Thomas A. French and his wife, Gloria, Sharlene DeLorenzo, Marsha Monthony, Brenda Lorenz, and Lisa French and her husband, Bernie; grandchildren, Jodi, Kiley, Tommy II, Kaila, Dalton, Danielle, Alex, and Ruth; also several great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At his request, there will be no calling hours or funeral.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Bolton Episcopal Church columbarium.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at the third floor of The Pines and Tower 6, Glens Falls Hospital, for their loving care. A special thanks is also sent to Rev. Nancy Goff for her compassion and time spent with the French family.
