Obituary

QUEENSBURY -- Audrey M. Dhuyvetter, daughter of Gustave and Florence (Marion) VanOrden, passed away on August 29, 2019. She recently celebrated her 88 th birthday with family and friends.

Audrey was a life-long resident of West Milford, New Jersey. She recently moved to Queensbury, New York, where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law.

Audrey was a homemaker and very content in her West Milford home where she had resided since the late 1950's. Thanks to family and friends, she was able to reside there for a long time. The family wishes to thank the Calamari family, the Quinn family, Lois and Tracy Pellington, life-long friend Shirley Myers, Donna and Ron Kajor, Bill Perry II, and Sister Janet Brisky of St. Joseph's Church.

Audrey was a long-time parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in West Milford. She and her late husband, Frank, both volunteered at the church food pantry.

Audrey was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was kind and generous and was always there to help someone in need.

Audrey's family and friends knew she loved to talk on the phone. She always began her conversation with, "I thought I would give you a fast call." It was never fast, but it was always a pleasure. She will be missed by many.

Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Frank, of 59 years, her parents, Florence and Gustave VanOrden, and her sister, Marjorie Waarst. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Walter Mahon, her grand-daughter, Amy Hearns, her husband, Ed Hearns, brothers, Greg and Thomas VanOrden, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Special thanks to Chris and Melissa Shipley and all of the other caregivers for the support and care they provided. Also, thanks to the High Peaks Hospice Organization as well.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Donations in her name to veteran organizations would be greatly appreciated.

Condolences may be sent directly to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
