WARRENSBURG --- Audrey S. Smith, age 75, of Warrensburg, died on June 12, 2013, at Glens Falls Hospital, after a long illness, surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec. 27, 1937 born and raised in Norwalk and New Canaan, CT, daughter of the late Catherine (Mooney) Scianna and Joseph E. Smith
Besides her parents, she is predeased by her husband, John A. Smith, brother, Joseph Smith, aunt, Elizabeth S. Miller, uncle, Thomas Smith, and her infant son, Brian.
Audrey attended schools in New Canaan and Norwalk High School. She co-owned and operated with her daughter, Connections Answering Service, serving the Norwalk Community for several years before relocating to the Lake George, NY area in 2001.
Surviving Audrey are her son, Gregory A. Smith and his wife, Elizabeth (Davidson) of Key West, Florida, daughter, Lori J. Smith of Warrensburg, NY, her much beloved grandchildren, Sean Logan and Ashley Benz of Warrensburg, NY and Emily Smith of Key West, Florida, cousin, Lynn Smith Pancza of Beachwood, NJ, and her children, many nieces and nephews and longtime special friends, Maureen Sheridan, Marie Barton, and Elaine 'Critter' Marciniak.
We will hold her love and family tradItions in our hearts forever. Her children and grandchildren feel blessed to have had a mother and grandmother with a heart of gold.
A special thank you to Sister Linda Hogan of St. Cecilias Church, Warrensburg, Father Cox, and all the Dr.'s and staff at Albany Medical Center, Glens Falls Hospital, Adirondack Cardiology and Hudson Headwaters for their support during this difficult time.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Aloysius Church, New Canaan. Burial following at St. John's Cemetery, Norwalk with a burial service also for her husband, John, with full Military Honors.
