Obituary

QUEENSBURY --- Barbara D. Rockefeller, 94, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Saratoga Center after a brief illness.

Born August 29, 1923 in Fort Plain, N.Y., she was the daughter of Phillip and Beatrice (Snell) Walters.

Barb graduated at age 15 from St. Johnsville High School.

She married John D. Rockefeller June 14, 1941.

Some of her enjoyments included knitting and crocheting, as well as cooking and canning fruits and vegetables.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her husband, John Rockefeller, a daughter, Carolyn Gaulin, a granddaughter, Barbara Lynch, and a brother, Paul Walters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Cathy (Bob) Lynch, Linda (John) Cohen, and Jo (Larry) Condon; a very close son-in-law, Tom Gaulin; grandchildren, Robert (Virginia) Lynch, Michele Lynch (Ed Coffey), Matthew (Mary) Tallman, Mark (Lori) Tallman, Edward (Gloria) Tallman, Barbara Condon, Michael Condon, Nicole Gaulin, and Shanna (Ben) Steele; great-grandchildren, Shea (Dan) Lynch, Heather (Curtis) Ong, Adriel (Lauren) Wood, Alexandria Lynch-Coffey, Nicholas Lynch-Coffey, Tori Hayes, Brianna Hayes, Elizabeth, Caroline, Sarah, and John Tallman, Parker Tallman, and Catherine Tallman, Alexis and Daniel Condon, and Mason and Cayden Steele; and great-great-grandchildren, Tobyn Nicholson, Jacob, Emily, and Mason Ong, and Nelson Wood; a sister, Marie Suits; and also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours were held Friday, January 5, from 10 a.m. to noon at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service took place at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Wagner, pastor of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, officiating.

A graveside service followed at Pine View Cemetery.
