HUDSON FALLS --- Beth L. Sleezer, 69, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She spent her last few days surrounded by the wonderful Tower 2 staff at Glens Falls Hospital as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Beth was born in Phelps, N.Y. on August 24, 1954 to Hazel VanCamp and her husband.

The last born of five children, Beth went on to have one daughter of her own with her first husband, Douglas Carlson. Beth married a second time to Melvin, and after some years, she ultimately spent her final years with her last husband, Nelson Sleezer in Hudson Falls. Beth had a big heart and despite the divorces, her love expanded her family and kept all three "Dads" and "Grandpas" in her daughter and granddaughters' lives, all with no ill feelings or rivalries. Her example on family inclusion truly helped shape her granddaughters' lives.

Beth loved spending free time with her grand and great-grandchildren. She was affectionately referred to as "crazy" grandma, and it was often joked that she passed on her sarcasm and sassy-pant personality to them. Beth also enjoyed her books, crafting, caring for her fur-babies, and the N.Y. Yankees.

Beth is predeceased by her mother, Hazel, her brothers, Skip and Stephen, her daughter and granddaughter, Brandy and Ashley, and all 3 of her husbands, Doug, Mel, and Nelson.

Beth is survived by her sisters, Babette and Barbara, her granddaughters, Jacquline, Samantha, and Charlene, as well as her stepchildren, and many nieces, nephews, close cousins, her great-grandchildren and 2 cats.

Calling hours to celebrate her life will be held Friday, January 12, 2024, from 4pm – 5pm at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
