Betty M. Bishop (aka: NaNa) of Argyle, NY, died at the age of 88 on February 5, 2021, after battling a long illness. She will be greatly missed for her loving kindness and immense care for family and friends.
She is survived by her son Christopher L. Bishop and his wife Donna, her son Mark A. Bishop and his wife Kimberly, her grandson Cory and his wife Megan and their sons Hunter, Sawyer, and Gunner, and her granddaughter, Ciara and her husband, Jared. In addition, she is survived by her sister Carolyn, and her brother, John. She is predeceased by her husband, Christopher and her parents, Allen and Mildred, and her sister Shirley.
Betty was known for her love of family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, singing, gardening, and vacationing in York, ME. In her youth she enjoyed spending family vacations hiking in the Adirondacks and spending time at the beach. Betty took great pride in being a great wife and mother. She spent her days tirelessly tending to the needs of her family and others. Her sons fondly remember 'Mom' always being there when they went off to school and when they arrived home. When Betty was younger, she worked in the medical field as an EKG technician, then later transitioned to become a Restaurant Manager.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she cared for and interacted with.
No services will be held in conjunction with Betty's wishes. Her ashes will be interred at a later date at the family plot in Castleton, VT.
