Betty L. (Duell) Wight , 59, of Queensbury, passed away Friday, March 20, at home after a long illness.

She was born August 20, 1960, in Wilmington, North Carolina, to Warren E. and Margaret R. (Vernum) Duell.

Betty was a dedicated employee of Hannaford Supermarkets where she made so many friends.

She loved spending time with her cats, reading books, camping and fishing.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her sister Sarah Duell and two brothers Allen and Larry Duell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Michael and Lynessa Abare of Glens Falls, New York, Mark and Amy Wight of Louisville, Kentucky, and Caitlin and Scott Ashey of Orland, Maine; her grandchildren, Patience Abare, Alexis Abare, Stuart Wight, Mikayla Wight, Aiden Wight, Camden Salisbury and Kyle Salisbury; her two sisters, Linda Meade and Barbara Bartlett; her companion William Brown and his loving family; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of a service Betty has chosen to donate her remains to the Albany Medical College Anatomical Gift Program.
