QUEENSBURY --- Betty Jean Wood completed her baptismal journey on Tuesday March 28, 2017 at Fort Hudson Nursing Home in Fort Hudson, NY. She was 92. Born February 14, 1925 in New Rochelle, NY she was the daughter of the late Walter E. and Grace M. (Rumph) Thwaite.

Betty was married to Theodore C. Wood who preceded her in death. She was a wife and homemaker and often assisted her husband in running his various business ventures. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and also a member of the West Hebron Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her only brother, Robert D. Thwaite. She is survived by nephews David Thwaite (Janine) of Peekskill, NY and Rev. Paul Thwaite (Jan) of West Bloomfield, MI, and several other extended family members.

Visitation will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. Tuesday April 4 at Baker Funeral Home in Queensbury, followed by a service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Laura Mitchell of West Hebron Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
