SOUTH GLENS FALLS --- Beverly J. Towne, 74, of South Glens Falls, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Born April 4, 1938 at Glens Falls Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Florence (Allen) Towne.
Beverly had the privilege of staying home, raising her 6 children, and caring for her home. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and her three cats, Smokie, Puff, and Whiskers. She also enjoyed going to garage sales with friends and family picnics.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was predeceased by her daughter, Lori Burch in 2007, her lifelong companion, Vito "Tooter" Binetti in 2004, and her brother, Walter Farrington in 2002.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Knickerbocker of Glens Falls; four sons, Cass Hyrny and his wife, Karen, of Queensbury, Bruce Hyrny of Glens Falls, Ralph Knickerbocker also of Glens Falls, and Todd Knickerbocker and his wife, Teresa of Warrensburg; a son-in-law, William Burch also of Warrensburg; four step daughters, Charlene Monahan and her husband, Edward, of Fort Ann, Tammy Manney and her companion, Mike, of Granville, Kim Binetti of Glens Falls, and Tina Gailor of Wilton; two step-sons, Anthony Binetti of Queensbury and Danny Binetti of Mechanicsville; grandchildren, Kathleen Hockenberry and her husband, Edward III, Kazimir St. John, Ryan Bombard, Brandon Wakefield, Amanda Phillips and her husband, Justin, Alicia Lanfear, Krystal Knickerbocker, Megan Hubel, Sara and Serene Burch, Natashya Hyrny, Allison Lanfear, Jay and Chris Hyrny, Nikkita Hyrny, Heidi, David, BJ, Holly, Chelsea, Wendy, Christy, Josh, and Austin; great-grandchildren, Jayce, Tyler, CJ, Lyla, Luca, Savanah, Torrey, Aaron, Joshua, Emma, Alexzandra, Edward IV, Sydney, and Hunter; several nieces, nephews, and friends, with special mention of lifelong friends, Beverly Duggan, Nancy Leombruno, and Joyce Seymour.
Friends may call upon the family Thursday, July 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
A memorial service will take place Friday, July13, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Stratton, pastor of South Glens Falls United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine View Cemetery, Quaker Rd., Queensbury.
