Obituary

Queensbury – Bonnie Lou Brenchley, 65, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026, unexpectedly after a short battle of cancer with her husband, Dan, the love of her life, at her side.

She was born in Cortland, NY on August 30, 1960, the daughter of Charles and Dolores (Laird) Chamberlain.

Bonnie was a long-time resident of the Cortland area; she was very proud to graduate from BOCES with her GED in 1992.  She worked at Smith Corona until they closed, she then went on to hold a position at Pall Trinity, until she was injured at work and ending her working career at the Klean Korner Laundromat, where she loved the connections, she had with many of her clients.

She enjoyed playing horseshoes, cards, crocheting, gardening, camping, animal watching and spending time with family. Bonnie was a collector of dogs, she always had room for a dog in need of a loving home, big or small. She was always the first to offer her amazing cooking skills when it came to helping and catering any event.  Bonnie was an outgoing person who new every person she met was a potential new friend.

She spent her younger years raising her two children, Tommy and Melissa, whom she loved with all of her heart.

Bonnie fell in love and married Daniel Brenchley in 2003, she always said it was the happiest day of her life. They had many joyous memories and loved to be together.

Together they moved to Queensbury in 2019 for a new adventure.  Bonnie loved her life in Queensbury, being close to family and making new friends. She was overjoyed to spend time and care for her great grandkids.  Bonnie and Dan became avid campers parking their RV at the Lake George camp site.  She had the opportunity to relax and make great friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her amazing husband, Dan; son, Thomas Allen, wife, Caroline; daughter, Melissa Shipley, husband, Christopher; daughters in law, Elizabeth O'Connor, significant other, Charles and Amanda Allen; step children, Tracy Grower, husband, Greg, Mathew Adams and Mark Brenchley, wife, Emily; grandchildren, Ashley, Karissa, Cloey, Jedidiah, Gabriel, Christopher, Eric, wife, Courtney, Brooke, husband, John, Stephanie, Charles, Josh, Justin, Mason, Owen and Mila; great grandchildren, Wesley, Somyah, Alasia, Fisher, Alana, John, Jaceon, Mason, Everleigh, Sawyer, Maisie and Chevelle; sisters, Roxanna Lloyd, husband, John, Charlene Grenell, Frances Horner, husband, Jack, and Sharon Marshall; siblings in law, Jackie Breed, wife, Kat, John Weisbrodt, wife, Debbie, and James Brenchley; above all her dog Jackie-Do, whom she affectionately obsessed over; many nephews, nieces and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents and many fur babies.

Relatives and friends are invited to call 11-12:30pm on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St. Queensbury, NY.  A funeral home service will begin at 12:30pm with Pastor Jeff Steppenbeck officiating.

A burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Blodgett Mills Cemetery.

A hole has been left in many hearts; she will be dearly missed.  Until we meet her again in Gods Kingdom.
