QUEENSBURY – Brian M. Langdon, 25, passed away Tuesday, January 19,2016 at the Glens Falls Hospital, with his loving family by his side.
He was the youngest child of three born to John and Sue (Ballou) Langdon and was born on January 11,1991 at the Glens Falls Hospital. Being the last born he completed our loving family.
Brian graduated from Queensbury High School in 2009. He studied Culinary at SUNY Adirondack. He was employed at The Sagamore, as a banquet chef.
He was an avid sports fan and loved his Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Braves, Boston Celtics and Michigan Wolverines. He loved fishing and spending time at camp. Brian always had a niche for cooking, he learned by watching his father in the kitchen, which gave him the confidence to pursue a career in culinary. If we equate our lives as a recipe, we are now missing the most important ingredient.
Brian was the bravest person we knew, even faced with adversity he never gave up. Cancer may have taken his body, but not his spirit.
He will always be remembered for his kindness, caring, positive attitude, and his consideration for others. He entertained many with his quick witted sense of humor.
Brian was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Marjorie Langdon, and his maternal grandparents, Paul and Thelma Ballou.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, John and Sue Langdon; his sisters, Jaclyn and Katie, both of Queensbury, they were the closest of siblings, always there for each other. He is also survived by many loving Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
Brian was overwhelmed by the outpouring of care and support by so many friends, strangers and loved ones. He was blessed. Thank you to each and every one you, every thought, every deed mattered more than you will ever know.
Calling hours will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 23 at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY.
A celebration of his life will immediately follow with Rev. Flossie gage Bates officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The CR Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital, 100 Park St., Glens Falls, NY 12801, Free to Breathe.org, or a charity of one's choice. In Brian's honor we ask you do a random act of kindness: smile at a stranger, thank a nurse, help those in need.
Condolences may be sent directly to the funeral home or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
