SOUTH GLENS FALLS --- Burtrice V. Juckett, 100, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2017.
Born in Glens Falls on September 13, 1916, she was the daughter of Leo and Eva (Pouliott) Vannier.
Burtrice was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School.
On April 26, 1941, she was married to Alvah E. Juckett.
Burtrice retired from Washington County Social Services.
Much of her retirement, she enjoyed going to auctions with her husband, being with family, especially grand and great-grandchildren, and watching her daughter, Barbara, work in her gardens.
In addition to her parents, Burtrice was predeceased by her husband of 49 years who died in 1990; daughter and loving caregiver, Barbara Hall, before her passing on February 19, 2017; and brother, Jack Vannier.
She is survived by her two sons, Marc (Nancy) Juckett of Colchester, Vermont amd David (Shawn) Juckett of Hudson Falls; three daughters, Nancy Morris of Granville, Melanie Hughes of South Glens Falls, and Jacquelyn (Rick) Lamy of Manchester, New Hampshire; son-in-law, John Hall of Queensbury; twelve grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family wishes to extend a thank you to Dr. Tedesco, Dr. R. Evans and Iron Gate Family Practice. All of the loving, caring and professional personnel of Tower 2 at Glens Falls Hospital; their care for mom was exceptional. The Community Hospice of Saratoga County, especially Karen, Kelly and Jeff. Also, a very special thank you to Kim Cranell, nurse and friend, who stopped in often and was always just a phone call away for help and guidance.
Per mom's request, services and burial will be private and at the convenience of family.
