QUEENSBURY --- Carl L. Barber, 86, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

Born November 24, 1939, in Greenwich, he was the son of Hollis and Lucy (Springer) Barber.

Carl graduated from Schuylerville High School in 1956. He worked for Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. He married Eileen Sullivan in 1960 in Schuylerville, New York.

Carl enjoyed gardening, history, especially military history, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Carl was predeceased by his wife, Eileen Barber; and son, Kyle Barber.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, David Barber of Virginia, Kevin (Linda) Barber of Texas, Chris Barber of New York, Tammy (Charles) Albrecht of New York, and Tracy (Simon) Buck of Colorado; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Wally Barber of New York.

Visitation will take place Friday, September 11, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A graveside ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Pine View Cemetery. There will be a gathering at the Barber House on Lupine Lane following the burial.
