Obituary

QUEENSBURY --- Cassandra I. Eaton, 21, passed away tragically and unexpectedly, February 3, 2023, with her beloved emotional support dog by her side, Ruby.

Born June 6, 2001, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Katherine Winchell and Robert Eaton III.

Cassy took Culinary Arts classes at Glens Falls high school and later graduated from Queensbury high school. She was very artistic and talented. She loved painting, singing, and taking selfies and making Tik Tok videos.

Her cats and her dog were her heart. Cassy was basically homeless at the time of her passing as she refused to live anywhere she could not have her beloved dog and constant companion, Ruby. She struggled with addiction, and it ultimately took her life over and then took her away from us.

Cassy was recently predeceased by her two cats, Miss Kitty and Patches and her dog, Molly.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Robert and Katherine; her fiancé, Vinny Potter Jr.; her grandparents, Louise Sherry Bloom and Robert Eaton; her brothers, Bobby Eaton IV, Mason Winchell and Damon Winchell; her aunt and uncle, Dawn Eaton and Bill Eaton; her in-laws, Ashly Paris and Sara Stout; her two nephews, Bobby and Preston Eaton; and her beloved dog, Ruby.

A graveside ceremony will take place Thursday, February 16, at 1 p.m. at Pine View Cemetery.

In loving memory of Cassy, contributions may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.

Condolences may be sent directly to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.

Cassy was a creative, beautiful and brave girl who brought a brightness and warmth into every life she touched. She was loved by all who were lucky enough to know her. We were all blessed to have known her and agree that it was better to have her in our lives for a short time than to never have known her at all but her absence leaves a void in all of us that can never be filled.
