Catherine L. Haas, 66, of Gansevoort passed away Friday, January 17, 2025 after a courageous battle with a long illness. Catherine was surrounded by family at the time of her death.

Born June 14, 1958 in Glens Falls, New York, Catherine was the daughter of Richard and Elvina (Fernandez) Anibal of Fort Edward, New York.

Catherine enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Catherine also enjoyed social gatherings at the local coffee shops and businesses.

Catherine worked at the Aviation Mall for many years before her employment at Glens Falls Hospital, prior to her retirement.

Catherine is predeceased by her parents, Richard and Elvina Anibal.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Kurt and Danielle Haas of Schuylerville, Brandy and Jonathan Munger of Gansevoort, April and Jason LaPoint of Argyle, Michael Blair and Melissa Pronto of Wilton, Destiny Blair and Shawn Colvin of Fort Edward; 13 Grandchildren, Sadie Williams, Traleigh Williams, Nevaeh Munger, Madalyn Haas, Nora Munger, Jonathan Munger, Trenton LaPoint, Trevor LaPoint, Raelynne Griffin, Makenzy Griffin, Trey LaPoint, Tyrin LaPoint, Scarlett Lashway; and great-granddaughter, Rowan Hurlburt.

The family would like to thank all of those that assisted Cathy during this long journey especially the staff from the Adirondack Medical Center of Saranac Lake and the Foltsbrook Center of Herkimer.

Services will be private at the convenience of the children.
