=GLENS FALLS --- Charlotte A. Chandler, 88, of Glens Falls passed away peacefully July 13, 2012 at home with her loving daughter at her side after a long illness.
Born Nov. 26, 1923 in Hudson Falls, she is the daughter of the late Ross Colvin and the late Della Ashe Graves.
Charlotte attended School # 9 in Hudson Falls. She married Durwood Chandler on Dec. 10, 1949. As a widow at an early age in 1957 she devoted her life to being a homemaker and loving mother to her three children. Her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren and she took great pride in all of them. She was well known for being the best patty warmer ever by her grandchildren, and as the "Banana Bread Lady" by the home health aids that cared for her.
In addition to her parents, Ross Colvin and Della Ashe Graves, her husband, Durwood Chandler, and three brothers, Donald, Charles, and Roger Colvin have predeceased her.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Chandler and fiancé, Michael Nichols, of Queensbury; two sons, Donald Chandler and wife, Elaine, of Arkansas, and David Chandler and wife, Jill, of Ithaca, NY; 8 grandchildren, Joel Lemay and wife, Krista, of Glens Falls, Stacee Bradley and David Manney of Queensbury, Brienne Lemay of Austin, TX, Brian Chandler of Oklahoma City, Chelsey Chandler of Ithaca, NY, and Tony and Jodie Chandler of AR; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; former son-in-law of many years, Arthur Lemay of Whitehall; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Friends may call upon the family Thursday, July 19, from 4 to 5 p.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home, with High Peaks Hospice Chaplain, Steve Smith, officiating.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of Charlotte's family at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville.

Charlotte's family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Hoy and his staff, High Peaks Hospice and the home health aides for all of their care. Also a very special thank you to Jo-Marie and Judy who were like family, and to Stacy, Kelly, and Chaplain Steve for your care and compassion during her final hours. All of your love and support for us both was priceless.
