SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Cheryl L. Ferris, 69, of Lamplighter Acres, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital with her family by her side.

Cheryl was born in Elizabethtown on September 15, 1946 to Victor and Emmaline (Denton) King.

For 26 years she worked at Warren Washington Association for Mental Health (WWAMH) as an Administration Secretary.

Cheryl enjoyed reading and loved her dog, Peaches.

Along with her parents, Cheryl is predeceased by her sisters, Marjorie DiCarlo and Veda Brown.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Robert A. Ferris Jr. and his wife, Melanie; her grandchildren, Robert A. Ferris III, Kalea Ferris and her husband Jamie, Brandon Ferris, and Hailey Ferris; as well as her dog, Peaches.

The family wishes to send special thanks to ICU doctors and nurses at Glens Falls Hospital, Dr. Stoutenburg, Dr. Sawyer and Madison Zuis, FNP of Hudson Headwaters Health Network, and Dr. Nevatia and Dr. Monn, her pulmonologist.

Calling hours will take place from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2016 at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, New York.

A funeral service will take place immediately following calling hours with the Rev. Flossie Gage Bates officiating.

A private Burial will be at the family's convenience at Riverside Cemetery in the spring.
