Obituary

Glens Falls---Cheryl Lee Moore, 68, of Stichman Towers, Glens Falls, passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 8, 2013 at Glens Falls Hospital from long and painful complications of Scleroderma.
Born March 30, 1945, in Troy, she was the daughter of the late William and Sylvia (Normandin) Pratt.
Following graduation in 1963 from Queensbury High School, Cheryl married Thomas Moore on Sept. 5, 1970. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Church where she completed The Formation of Ministry program through the Albany Diocese. She taught religious education for a year at St. Alphonsus, and was a member of St. Ann's Sodality and a member of the church choir. Most recently, she was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Ft. Edward. She was a volunteer for the AIDS council of North Eastern New York. She worked at Native Textiles for 38 years, and then as a switch board operator at Glens Falls Hospital until she took ill and had to retire.
A huge achievement was her first time flying, which led to a love of travel, enjoying a trip to Prague, Czech Republic in 2001 where her daughter was studying at the time, and later, several trips to New Orleans where her daughter moved to, along with a dream trip to Ireland in 2009. She also took joy in crocheting afghans for her family and friends. Above all, her greatest joy in life, other than her children, was her grandchildren.
She was an inspiration in many ways, a lady with deep faith in God and humanity. Both community, friends, and family will miss her immensely
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, on December 24, 1985, one brother, Howard Pratt, and one sister, Linda Johnson.
Survivors include her three children, David Lesson and his wife, Catherine, of Buskirk, NY, one daughter, Erin Perez and her husband, Oliver, and their son, Liam Ignacio, and Thomas Moore of Roanoke, Virginia, and his daughter, Piper, of Bennington, Vermont.
