VALATIE --- Cheryl Anne (Larose) Young ,76, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, January15, 2023.

Born on March 27, 1946, in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Howard A. and Winifred Stranahan LaRose.

Cheryl spent much of her adulthood as proprietor of Cher-Way Inn on Bloody Pond Road in Lake George. Cheryl lived her childhood in Lake George, while attending St. Agnes School in Albany and Glens Falls Senior High School. After completing college in Georgia, she majored in hotel management while attending Paul Smiths College in Paul Smiths, NY.

She was proud member of the Lake George Polar Bear Club. Although she enjoyed Lake George, she moved to the Albany area where she was close with her family. She also spent several summers working at the Saratoga Racetrack. She is survived by her son, Wayne S. Young (Anya) of Selkirk; her grandson, Slade Young; her brother, Howard A. LaRose, II (Kristine/Krit) of Queensbury, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to the burial service, held at Evergreen Cemetery in Lake George on Monday, January 23, 2023, at 11 am.
