Born November 29, 1928, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Anna (Zawrotniak) and Walter Jezewski and brother of the late Walter Jezewski. He and his brother were first generation Americans.

Chet was raised in Greenpoint and attended High School at Brooklyn Technical Institute in Brooklyn, New York.  As a teenager, Chet helped to build sail boats on City Island.   He was proud of the fact that at 20 years old he was the first in his neighborhood, to buy a brand-new car with his own money, a 1951 Pontiac Catalina.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a Corporal in the Signal Corp.  He then went on to study Electrical Engineering at Pratt Institute. Chet met his wife, Betty Ann Potvin, on a blind date arranged by fellow Pratt classmates. They were married on April 28, 1953, at St. Michaels in Brooklyn, N.Y. They resided and raised their three children Anne, Mark and Julia, in Roseland, New Jersey.

He worked as an electrical design consultant most of his life, working on such projects as the Kennedy Space Center in Florida and the Met Life Building in New York City.  In the late 1960's he worked as an Electrical Designer at PSE&G in Newark, New Jersey and then in 1985 until retirement he worked on the Salem Nuclear Plant in Lower Alloways Creek, New Jersey.

He retired from PSE&G in 1993 after which the couple settled in Spring Hill, Florida where Chet enjoyed adding to his military collection.  Chester and Betty Ann relocated to Oak Ridge, Tennessee in 2013.

He is survived by his three children, Anne Wesh and her husband, John of Oak Ridge, TN, Mark Jezewski and Cindy Viviani of Caldwell, N.J., and Julia Knox-Comeau and her husband Richard Comeau, of Greenwich, CT.

He was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren: Chris (wife Jessica), Kyle, and Kelsey Jezewski, Matthew and Peter Wesh, and Margaux and Samantha Knox.  He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Raegan and Ruby Jezewski.

Funeral services will be held graveside at St. Paul's Cemetery on Friday, July 16th at 12pm, with Military Honors and the Rev. Tom Babiuch of St. Mary's/St. Paul's Catholic Church in Hudson Falls, officiating.
