WARRESNBURG --- Christine I. "Chrissy" LaPlanche, 66, of Warrensburg, passed away Nov. 23, 2015 after a long illness.
Born Dec. 11, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Hial Hall II and the late Virginia I. Barber (Hamblin), stepdaughter of the late Howard Barber and survived by stepmother, Elma Hall. Her loving husband, William J. LaPlanche Sr. passed away July 30, 2000.
Mrs. LaPlanche was an avid churchgoer, a Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir, and a private school teacher's aide.
She loved spending time with her stepmother, Elma, whenever she could, and also her best friend, Joyce Callahan.
In addition to her parents and stepfather, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, William J. LaPlanche Sr.; two brothers, Hial Hall III and his wife, Carol, and Jason Hall; a sister-in-law, Judy Altom; and several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her stepmother, Elma Hall; her children, Kenneth L. LaPlanche, William J. LaPlanche Jr., and April (Jeff) Wheeler; five brothers, Anthony (Caroline) Hall, James, Joseph, Jay, and Jerry Barber; she is also survived by her grandchildren: four special grandsons, Alexander A. Williams, Lucas and Justin LaPlanche,and Jeffrey Wheeler II; three special granddaughters, Anna and Jennifer LaPlanche, and Jessie Derusha; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends and family.
Calling hours will take place Tuesday, Dec. 1, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends and family are encouraged to share a story about Christine.
