GLENS FALLS--- Christine A. Norton, 73, of Glens Falls, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Born Jan. 30, 1940, in Addison, Vt., she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Evelyn (LaFountain) Mallory.
Christine attended Warrensburg School District as a child and later went on to be an accomplished, self employed seamstress at her home specializing in her families wedding dresses. She also enjoyed crocheting, making jewelry, and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by an infant son, Sidney Fones, her first husband and father of her children, Benjamin Fones, her second husband, AI "Bill" Norton, a brother, Sam Mallory, a sister, Donna Mattison, and by her beloved dog, Gabby.
Christine is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Swallow and husband, Brian, of Glens Falls and Rebecca Mills of Fort Edward; two sons, Charles Fones and his wife Lisa of Glens Falls and Daniel Fones and his companion Lisa Willams of Chestertown; 11 grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda, Joshua, Chas, Brandon, Zach, Ashlee, Sydney,Tanya, Chrystal, Angie, and Jimmy; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Connie Severance and her husband Leland of Fort Edward; two brothers, Larry Mallory and his wife Wanda of Bismark, No. Dakota and Terry Mallory and his wife Barbie of Galvanston, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
