SOUTH GLENS FALLS --- Christopher Paul Carroll passed away in South Glens Falls, NY, on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the age of 46.
Chris was born on April 1, 1969 in Lakewood, New Jersey. He graduated from Jackson Memorial High School, where he was an avid soccer player. Chris worked as a volunteer fireman and EMT until moving to New York, where he worked as an Operations Manager for the Budget Inn in South Glens Falls.
Chris is survived by his parents, Dennis and Jean Carroll of Diamond Point, as well as his siblings and their spouses: Cheryl Rafferty and her husband, Donald, of Diamond Point, Dennis Carroll and his wife, Toni, of Waxhaw, North Carolina, and Lisa Leroux and her husband, Matt, of Queensbury. Nieces and nephews include Kevin Rafferty and his wife, Janie, Kristen Sheridan and her husband, Daniel, Erin Rafferty, Kyle Leroux, Brandon Leroux, Alyssa Leroux, Samantha Carroll, and Nicole Carroll. He is also survived by his aunt, Juanita Morch of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. John Brady and family; his aunt, Mrs. Arline Brady and family; his uncle and aunt, Edward and Fran Byrne, of Middletown, New Jersey, and his cousins: Mr. and Mrs. Alan Garbutt and family, Mrs. Candy Wright and family, Meredith Byrne, and Amanda Byrne.
A beloved son, brother, and uncle, Chris is remembered as a cheerful, fun-loving individual. He enjoyed motorcycles and skiing, and was an excellent artist. He also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, who remember him as being a playful, humorous uncle. His siblings remember a brother who was full of laughter and life.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 24, at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 7 Goodman Ave., Bolton Landing, with the Rev. Tom Berardi officiating.
