Obituary

GLENS FALLS ---Christopher Lewis Smith, Sr., 51, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, due to health issues.

Born May 5, 1971, in Hartford, Connecticut, he was the son of Lewis Smith and Lorraine St. Clair.

Following graduation from high school, Chris worked as a cook at Johnny Rockets. He also loved to be a firefighter and volunteered at Argyle and Greenfield Fire Departments for many years.

He married Jaime Lynn Mitchell on September 30, 1995, in Glens Falls.

Chris enjoyed many sports, including football, basketball and wrestling. He was a huge New York Giants and San Antonio Spurs fan. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially hanging out with his two best friends, Joey Garrison and Christopher Hutchinson, as well as spending time with his beloved grandkids.

In addition to his mother, Chris was predeceased by his grandparents, Helen and Ray Sutliff; brother, Lewis Carl Smith II; and six nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jaime Smith of Queensbury; children, Christopher Lewis Smith, Jr, Heather (Taylor) Fuller of Queensbury, Jessica (Bryan) Smith of Queensbury, and JB Mitchell of Florida; father, Lewis Carl Smith of Queensbury; step-father, John St. Clair of Argyle; grandchildren, Lucas James Smith, Sadie Smith, Abbie Smith, and Landyn Fuller, all of Queensbury; sister, Sherry Smith (Peter McIntire) of Corinth; brothers, Ray Smith of Lake Luzerne and Lewis Smith of Argyle; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and in-laws, Linda Mitchell, Mark Mitchell, Joan Mitchell, Patrick Mitchell (Nancy Zabelicky) and Kenneth Shank.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, May 3 from 4 to 5 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Chris's memory may be made to Open Door Mission, 226 Warren St., Glens Falls, NY 12801.
