Obituary

Mamaroneck --- Christopher S. Wear, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the age of 52 while working in Rhode Island.

Born in Pittsfield, Mass. on May 3, 1968 he was the son of Charles Albert Wear and Judith D. (McKeon) Wear.

Chris was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY and worked as a private chef on yachts, islands and estates for 26 years.  In 2018, he began working as a Construction Superintendent at Ahearn Holtzman, Inc. During his free time, he liked to go canoeing with his dogs as well as camping, foraging, fishing, white water activities, and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed traveling, cooking, gardening, and entertaining. He was a member of the North American Mycological Association, N.Y.

On September 17, 2005 he married Karen McCabe.

In addition to his father, Charles A. Wear, Christopher was predeceased by his grandparents, Leo and Madeline McKeon, and Lester and Lillian Wear; his aunt, Leslie (Wear) Hitchcock; and his uncle, Robert Wear.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen (McCabe) Wear; his mother, Judith D. (McKeon Wear) Quinan and her husband Chris Quinan; sisters, Victoria (Wear) Vanier and Cameryn Quinan; his aunts, Carole VanDeusen, Patricia Pratt, Madeline McKeon, and Lynn Murray; uncles, Leo, William, and Charles McKeon; in-laws, Scott Vanier, and Kevin and Heather McCabe; two nieces, Felicia and Faye Vanier; numerous cousins; and his two dogs, Emmie Mae and Olive Tini.

A celebration of life will take place Sunday, August 9 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the home of Jeff and Rachael VanDeusen in West Lebanon, N.Y.
