Clarita "Keeta"
Lamere
May 2, 1953 — Feb 3, 2025
QUEENSBURY --- Clarita "Keeta" LaMere, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 3, 2025.
Born May 2, 1953 in Glens Falls, New York, she was the daughter of Earle and Shirley Russell.
Keeta attended Queensbury Senior High School.
On April 4, 1970, Keeta married the love of her life, Russell LaMere in Glens Falls.
Keeta worked as the payroll manager of Glens Falls Hospital until her retirement.
There were many things that Keeta enjoyed including spending her days by her husband's side: they would visit family and friends, golf, and attend craft fairs. She especially looked forward to their winters spent in Florida together. Keeta was also a sports fan; she watched both her daughter (Suzanne) and her granddaughter (Maya) throughout their athletic careers in high school and college. Above all, Keeta especially enjoyed spending time with her only granddaughter. The two would play board games and cards, solve puzzles, and seek out escape rooms to conquer.
In addition to her parents, Keeta was predeceased by her grandmother, Blanche Sutton Shippee; and brother, Wade Russell.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Russell LaMere; daughter, Suzanne (LaMere) Seifert and husband Donald; her granddaughter, Maya Seifert, who was her pride and joy; special aunt, Barbara Jarvis; in-laws, Sandra (LaMere) Backus and husband Robert, Keith LaMere and wife Michelle; special niece, Kimberley White and husband Anthony; special cousin, Robin Brewer and husband Tim; special friend, Carolyn Salone and husband John; several other truly loved nieces, nephews, and cousins; and lastly her beloved dog, Tobey.
At Keeta's wishes, there will be no services.
Condolences may be sent directly to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
