GLENS FALLS -- Claude H. Venon, 93, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.

Born in New York City on Valentine's Day, 1924 he was the son of the late Jules H. and Gabrielle C. (Pierson) Venon.

Claude graduated from Dartmouth College in 1946 and participated in WWII as an OSS Cryptographer in the China Theater.

He spent most of his adult life living in Rowayton, CT where he enjoyed sailing, painting the Norwalk Islands, gardening and playing music.

In addition to his parents, Claude was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Venon.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Matthew; two daughters, Claudia and Natalie; and four grandchildren.
