Glens Falls --- Colleen Turner, 69, a resident of Robert Gardens North, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 at Glens Falls Hospital with her family by her side.
William H. and Mary S. (Maloney) welcomed Colleen to this world on August 8, 1951.
Colleen graduated from Glens Falls High School and studied at SUNY Cobleskill.
She owned and operated Colleen's Flowers & Beauty Shop, and worked at Wiawaka, C.R. Bard, as well as a few other places over the years. Above all, being a wife, mother, "Meme," and friend was her greatest enjoyment.
On November 13, 2011, she married Lawrence "Larry" Turner.
In addition to her parents, Colleen was predeceased by a son, John E. Coon II, two sisters, Noelle Harvey and Judy Thomas, and one brother, Arthur Byers.
Those left to cherish her special memories are her husband, Lawrence "Larry" Turner; two daughters, Patrina (Jeffrey) Leland and their children, Nathalie, Madilynn, Olivia, and Coleman, and Victoria Miner and her children, Connor, Lily, Jack, and Owen; Patrina and John's father, John (Cindy) Coon and their son, Eric, and his family; sisters, Mary Lou (Nick) Catalfamo, Linda Byers (John Aesch Sr.), Carol (Jim) Baker, Anne (Don) Rochie, and Sandy Byers; as well as many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Friends are invited to join her family for a celebration of her life Tuesday, July 6, at 6:30 p.m. at Vantage Pointe Church, 543 Ridge Rd., Queensbury. Please join us, wearing bright colors in her loving memory, for food, fellowship, and fond memories to share.
A private graveside ceremony will take place at Pine View Cemetery, where Colleen will be laid to rest with her son, John.
