QUEENSBURY --- Connie Giordano, age 73 passed away November 20, 2019. She was born August 19, 1946 in Queens, New York to Helene and Charles Smith. She married her longtime love and high school sweetheart whom she knew since she was 13 years old, Joseph on June 14, 1963.

Having lived most of her life on Long Island, Connie moved with her family to The Adirondacks almost 20 years ago, an area where her extended family has been since the 1800s including the famous Colonel Levin Crandell of the 125th infantry out of Troy NY. He is known for his courage and leadership during The Battle of Gettysburg.

She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, friend, lover of dogs, decorating whiz, social director, life of the party and dance queen. One of her favorite things to do was kick up her heels at the Elks Lodge and socialize with friends.

Connie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Joseph, adoring children, son Michael and wife Maria, son Robert and wife Stacy and daughter Jill, grandchildren Kassie, Cameron, Alison, Francesca and Michael and great grand-daughter Kathryn, sister Judy and husband Michael, sister Patricia and husband Guy, brother Robert and husband Jonathan, nephew Kevin and husband Zeev, and her doting dog, Maggie Mae.

Calling and condolences hours for our beloved Connie will be held at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette Street, Queensbury on Tuesday, November 26, from 3 to 5 p.m.

Catholic memorial services will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Guy A. Childs of St. Michael's Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a plant or flower that can be replanted and live on in her memory or a donation to one of the following animal rescue organizations, as she loved animals and had several rescue dogs herself, Tri Lakes Humane Society, Donate | Tri-Lakes Humane Society , or North Country SPCA, Donations | The North Country SPCA .
