Daniel F.
Imrie
Feb 21, 1950 — Aug 25, 2025
Daniel F. Imrie II, born February 21, 1950, of Glens Falls, NY passed away peacefully in his home on August 25, 2025 with his home health aide, Heather and her husband, Eric, by his side.
Dan was an auto mechanic all of his life with his favorite car of all time being the Volkswagen bug. When he was not working on cars he was always busy doing something whether it be traveling, gardening, helping his daughter on her house, going to Guatemala working with Doctors Without Borders or helping out the Vietnam Veterans. He lived a very full life!
He was very well known in the Glens Falls area having worked on just about everyone's car in town. Wherever he went, people knew who he was. He was always smiling and laughing and cracking jokes. He was an extremely hard-working man his entire life. His dream was to retire in his home on the mountain in Virginia where he planned to build a three bay garage because he had told his daughter that he would "always have to tinker with cars". Sadly, that never happened but hopefully it will in his next life because he deserved it.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert W. Imrie and his mother, Doris L. Imrie.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Jean Imrie Bigaouette of Argyle, NY; his brother, Robert Imrie (Reiko) of Minneapolis, MN; his only child, Wendy Leavitt, of Hudson Falls, NY; three grandchildren, Joseph Eggleston (Jingfu Tan) of Philadelphia, PA; Sara Eggleston (Dave) of Hudson Falls, NY; and Ronnie M. Miller, Jr. of Hudson Falls, NY; and four great grandchildren, Connor, Madilynn, Noah and Omari.
