FORT ANN --- Danny LeRoyce Barrett, 68, of Fort Ann, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018 with his loved ones by his side after a long illness.

Born April 15, 1950 in Ticonderoga, he was the son of LeRoyce and Agnes (Machokis) Barrett.

Danny graduated from Whitehall High School.

He was a tractor operator in the shipping department for Finch Pruyn for many years.

Some of his enjoyments included fishing, golfing, hunting, bowling, and most importantly, spending time with his family and friends.

Danny married Jonna L. Daggett in Whitehall on Sept 22, 1984.

In addition to his parents, Danny was predeceased by his grandparents, Pearl and Grover Barrett.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Jonna L. Barrett; his loving daughters Tonya Gibilaro & her husband Kris, Tami Allen & her significant other David O'Malley,: his loving grandchildren TJ Allen, Skyler O'Malley, Danielle O'Malley, Brielle Gibilaro & Aiden Gibilaro: his sisters, Linda Barcomb and Pearl Neve; a brother Wayne Barrett & his wife Liz; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved pets Sadie and Misty.

Danny was a beautiful soul, he literally took pride in everything he did. He was never in a hurry, everything was a "5 minute job". Everyone loved Dan, he was truly the most patient & humble man you ever met. We miss him so much but he is at peace now.....until we meet him again.

Calling hours will take place Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 3-5 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A memorial service will follow at 5p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Baileyofficiating.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Grubbs, Nicole, Chicky, and the entire staff at the cancer center; to all the doctors and nurses on the oncology unit for their outstanding care and compassion; to all the family and friends that helped us through very tough times; as well as all the outstanding people at High Peaks Hospice. We love each and every one of you!
