David P.
Brennan
Sep 15, 1951 — Feb 5, 2021
David Patrick Brennan, age 69, of Queensbury, New York, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on February 5, 2021. David was born on September 15, 1951 in Rockville, New York, son of Joseph Brennan and Genevieve Brennan (Smith).
After graduating from Wallkill Senior High School, Dave served in the U.S. Navy on the munitions supply ship the U.S.S. Butte which he referred to as, "Being a welder on a giant bomb." He enjoyed working in the public eye and served over the years as a bouncer, limousine driver, cable guy and most recently as pizza making delivery man and resident plow guy for Queensbury Truck and Pizza Stop. Dave thoroughly enjoyed vintage cars and frequented shows at Watkins Glen and anywhere else he had the opportunity. He loved attending weekly summertime fireworks displays in Lake George in his '66 Thunderbird. Dave was rarely ever seen without a camera in his hand and the lens was an extension of his creative mind. He had a way of capturing beauty that others couldn't always see and was a perfectionist in creating his final vision.
Dave is predeceased by both his parents and his sister, Jane Smith.
Dave is survived by his Queensbury family including, Nancy Newbern and her children Tristan Verra and Aspen Forman, whom he loved as his own. He also cared for great aunt Margaret Lucas right up until he fell ill. He also leaves behind dear friends Kathy Warren and her daughter Marybeth Bidgood, Joe Linehan and his best friend Toby Sheikh.
His surviving siblings include Joseph Brennan and his wife Arline, Richard Brennan and his wife Merry, Eileen Chiovaro and her husband Dick, Pat Brennan and his wife Carol, Terry Brennan, and Anne Roosa. He is also survived by many loving and caring nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and celebration fit for Dave will be held at a later date.
Condolences may be mailed directly to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804 or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
