QUEENSBURY --- David Howard passed away peacefully at age 89 on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Fort Hudson Nursing Home with his loving family by his side.

David was born June 20, 1929 in Glens Falls, the son of the late Hollis and Edith (Stark) Howard.

An extraordinary musician, David played the saxophone with The Three Kings/Howard Trio for several years.  He was also an outstanding salesman for 45 years with Northway Floors/Four Star Flooring.  David's true passion in life was his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, who had the uncanny ability to make you laugh.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers; Raymond, John, Donald, Fred and Robert Howard, as well as an aunt, Nannie Winch.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 54 years, Jacqueline (Bergeron) Howard; son, Matthew Howard and wife Patrice of Queensbury; daughter, Michelle Duscher and husband, Frank of Wilton; and daughter, Robin Bayle and husband, Brian of Glens Falls. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Kristen, Stephanie and Justin Duscher; Emma, Anna and Vivian Bayle; two step grandchildren, Nick Lamkins and Corrie Mathis and five step great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will take place Thursday, August 16, from 10 a.m. to noon at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Puckey officiating, followed by a service at Pine View Cemetery.
