AMSTERDAM --- David Douglas Rifenburg, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 30, 2022.

Born April 26, 1945, in Scotia, he was the son of Douglas Rifenburg and Frances Raine.

David went to trade school to become an electrician and went on to work for the IBEW Local #236. He served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1966.

David loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the American Legion and the Heritage Foundation.

David was predeceased by his brother.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Greg Rifenburg of Glens Falls, Steve Rifenburg of Rotterdam, and Brook Turallo of Colonie; and parents, Doug and Gloria Rifenburg of North Carolina.

At David's request there will be no calling hours.

A graveside ceremony with military honors will be held at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
