AMSTERDAM --- Debbie Lee Benson, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

Born April 6, 1964, in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of Ralph and Hazel (Garnsie) Benson.

Debbie attended Saratoga Springs High School. She worked at Price Chopper/Market 32 in Queensbury for many years until her retirement in 2025.

She married Peter Bell, Sr. in Saratoga in 1986.

Debbie enjoyed time with her grandkids, taking road trips, playing cards with her sister Linda and son Joseph, and playing BINGO.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was predeceased by her husband, Peter Bell, Sr, who passed away in 2021; son, Thomas Benson, who passed away in 2009; and brother, Mark Benson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Joseph Benson of Amsterdam; grandchildren, Samara and Dakota Benson of Amsterdam; sister, Linda Lindsay of Gansevoort; brother-in-law, Carl Tucker of Gansevoort; and her beloved pets, Stardust, Goldust, and Mya.

A graveside ceremony will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. There will be a gathering for family and friends following the burial.
