Obituary

Queensbury - Deborah L. Harrington, 71, of Stevens Rd, Queensbury, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 24, 2025, at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born August 10, 1954, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Gloria (Harris) Russell. Debbie married the love of her life Orbin Harrington II on June 29, 1974, at St. Alphonsus Church in Glens Falls.

For over 30 years Debbie was employed at Glens Falls Hospital. She started her career in Dietary, then the old coffee shop where she worked alongside her son Andy before settling in patient finance. She worked many second jobs over the years caring for others, she was always caring for someone. She loved to feel needed and would do anything for those she loved. Upon her retirement from Glens Falls Hospital in 2014 she took care of her grandson, Austin, her "bestest boy". After he started school, she went on to fill her days putting him on the bus and working at Glens Falls Middle School where she made many friends and found more kids to love.

In Debbie's younger years, she raced at the SGF Dragstrip in the powder puff division. She loved going with her husband, her best friends Roy and Rose Moulton and won many trophies. She enjoyed summers with her family at their camp in Newcomb. Anyone who knew Debbie knew that she loved her purses, getting mani/pedis and getting her hair done. She always wanted to look fabulous. Above anything else her grandchildren were the light of her life, Colby, her firstborn, Ella, her princess and Austin, her bestest boy. She loved Logan, Natalie, Vinny and Everleigh like they were her own and all held a special place in her heart. She loved her pets especially "pup" and would take them all in if she could,

She is predeceased by her parents; an infant son, Jeremiah Thomas; God daughter, Heather Moulton; Brother-in-law, Charles Harrington; Sister-in-law, Catherine Hitchcock; two nephews, James Hitchcock III and Mark Russell II; Three brothers, Floyd Russell Jr, Mathew Russell and Douglas Russell.

Survivors include two sons, Andrew Harrington and his wife, Diana of Queensbury and Orbin Harrington III of Schuylerville; a nephew, of whom she thought of as a son, Jordon Russell of South Carolina; grandchildren, Colby, Ella, and Austin Harrington, Logan and Natalie Robertson, Vinny and Everleigh Russell; brother, Mark Russell (Melody) of Lake Luzerne; sister in law, who was her best friend, Shirley Harrington; her pets, "PUP", Bailey, Cinnamon and Boots, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A special mention of "cousin, John" and Allison Robertson, who was like a daughter and many dear friends.

Friends and relatives may call Sunday, September 28th, from 2-5pm at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St, Queensbury.

Burial will be held Monday, September 29th at 10am at the Pine View Cemetery, Quaker Rd. A gathering with the family will be held at the West Glens Falls Firehouse on Luzerne Rd from 11-3pm.

Abbey, Megan, Barbara, Ellen and Margaret who made her last days comfortable. The passion that they have for their profession truly shows and we couldn't be more grateful to them.
