GLENS FALLS - Denise Lynn (Phillips) Oudekerk, 55, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Albany Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
Born May 11, 1962 in Glens Falls Hospital, she is survived by her parents, Edward Phillips of Fort Edward and Sharon (Vaughn) Phillips of Glens Falls.
Denise was one of seven children and grew up in Hudson Falls. She was known to her family as Neecy Woo, Alice Ann, Ma Dukes, Deece and, most importantly, as Mom and Grandma.
She enjoyed being with her family, especially her five grandsons. She loved bingo with her sister and her "Wifey," Carrie and going for rides in her truck, which she affectionately called "Gurt."
Denise was predeceased by her husband, Dale Oudekerk; maternal grandparents, Charles and Helen Vaughn; mother-in-law, Gloria Oudekerk; and Ron's daughter, Keisha Sharrow.
Aside from her parents, she is survived by her fiancé, Ron Sharrow; two sons, Coty (Megan) Stockwell and their boys, Tyler and Lucas, and Michael (Katlyn) Oudekerk and their sons, Dominic, Julian and Bryce; Ron's daughters, Ronni Jane, Kaili and Shelby; her sisters, Barbara (Cal) Durham, Jo Anne (Frank) Lockwood, Gerri Ann (Joseph) Rockwood and Christina Allen; her brothers, Edward Phillips, Joe (Carrie Dean) Phillips, Dan Philips, Mike Phillips and Jeff Phillips; her uncle, Paul (Sandy) Vaughn; as well as many nieces and nephews who adored her.
Calling hours will take place on Friday, July 7, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A funeral service will follow at 11a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Lockwood officiating.
Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Fort Edward.
A gathering will be announced at the time of services.
