UPDATED SERVICE: Mr. Allen's burial will be Thursday, August 13, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Moss St. Cemetery in Hudson Falls the Rev. Judy Humphrey Fox, pastor of Amsterdam United Methodist Church officiating.
LOWELL, MA --- Dennis James Allen, 53, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020.
He was born on August 13, 1966, in Glens Falls, NY. He was the son of the late Elenore Allen and the late John Terry.
Dennis grew up and lived most of his life in Hudson Falls, NY, where he met his longtime girlfriend, Robin Brown. They shared 26 years together.
Dennis lived at the Manor in Ticonderoga for a few years, and spent the last two years at Care One Nursing Center in Lowell, MA.
Dennis loved visiting with his family and friends. He was so polite and good natured that anyone that he met grew to love him.
He liked listening to music, his favorite being hard rock. A fond memory of his is going to the Def Leppard concert with his sister Darlene. Also going to Dunkin Donuts for a donut and a cup of coffee.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Bonnie Allen.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Darlene Mallon; his girlfriend, Robin Brown; his nieces, Crystal Wells and April Mallon; his nephews, Daniel Mallon, Curtis Mallon and Jeremiah Euber, and 10 great-nieces and nephews and several cousins.
Visitation will take place Monday, February 17, from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Judy Humphrey Fox, pastor of Amsterdam United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will take place in the spring at Moss St. Cemetery in Hudson Falls.
Family would like to thank the caring staff in the medical ICU at Mass General Hospital, for their care and comfort of Dennis during the last weeks of his life.
