LAKE GEORGE – Diane M. (Sumner) McQuain, 57, of Bay Road, passed into the arms of the Lord Thursday, September 3, 2015, from Albany Medical Center, after a brief battle with a Neurological condition.
She has joined her parents, Charles O. Sumner and Irene Sumner, who predeceased her, along with her brother-in-law Hank Manney Sr.
Diane was born August 6, 1958 in Glens Falls and attended Queensbury High School. She worked as a Home Health Care Aide and enjoyed her time helping the elderly.
On June 25, 1988 she married Earl McQuain, they spent 27 happy years together.
Diane spent her time baking cakes for weddings, birthdays, and other events. She enjoyed chatting with friends on Social Media about music and tattoos. Most of all she adored spending her time with her grand children and great-grandchildren.
She was loved by all whose lives she touched and will be missed greatly.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Earl S. McQuain of Lake George; her two daughters, Ellen I. Gipe, wife Caroline Bennett, of Lake George; Tanice M. Sumner of Queensbury; her son, Seth D. McQuain of Lake George; those she was most proud of: her grandchildren, Monique E. (Ryan) Ringrose of Ft. Drum, Coltin Holman of Lake Geroge, Brittney Schenk of Glens Falls, Zabian Rain Sumner of Queensbury; and great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Matthew Ringrose; her siblings include, Ellen Lurvy of Vt., Bonnie Manney of Stoney Creek, Dodie (Steven) Thetford of Queensbury, Mable Sumner of Hudson Falls, Steve (Birdie) Sumner of Queensbury, Robert Sumner of Stoney Creek, Charles Sumner (Mary Palma) of Stoney Creek, Richard (Heidi) Sumner of Queensbury, Sonny (Carole) Hack of Tx.; her grandparents, Joseph and Minnie M. Sumner; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11 at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with Deacon Bill Bazinet, officiating.
