Obituary

BOLTON LANDING --- Donald (Don) Robert Norton,
35, of Bolton Landing, passed away unexpectedly late Thursday morning, June 21, 2012. Don was the unfortunate victim of an unforeseeable
pedestrian/automobile
accident.
Born December 6, 1976, at Glens Falls Hospital, to Llora (Butler) Norton, Don resided in Bolton Landing. He attended Bolton Central
School, where he made many lasting friendships.
Don was an admirable man with a great sense of humor. He had numerous hobbies that he shared with his many friends. He was a true "Gearhead," fascinated with machines at an early age. It was not uncommon to find Don modifying or tinkering with trucks. Don had a true love for cats. His friends dubbed him the "Beast-master." He could tame the meanest of animals
and have them eating out of the palm of his hands in short order. Don also loved to cook for his friends and family. He would take the oddest of ingredients and make the most delectable
tasting dishes.
Don had an unmistakable presence, towering above others at nearly six feet six inches tall. Those who knew Don did not recognize his large stature, rather his colossal heart. Don had an uncanny way of welcoming
all he came into contact with, and he will be sorely missed.
Don leaves behind his loving
mother, Llora Norton of Bolton Landing; his adoring sister, Nikki (Todd) Colvin of Bolton Landing; his fiancee,
his one and only true love, Kara Ducharme and her two wonderful children, Jackson and Cassandra of Bomoseen, Vt.; his two loyal feline companions, Buddy and Chino; his "extended family" the Schweickerts, along with a multitude of other close friends.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012 at the Assembly of God Church in Bolton Landing
followed by a memorial service celebrating Don's remarkable life. Friends and family are invited to fellowship immediately following
the service in the fellowship
hall. In lieu of flowers,
please make donations to the Bolton Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1054, Bolton LAnding,
