QUEENSBURY --- Donald Peltier, 84, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022.

Born June 17, 1937, in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Roland and Stella (Snay) Peltier.

Following high school, he joined the United States Marine Corp. and served during the Korean War era. He also drove for Yellow Freight Trucking for many years. He married his loving wife Jane Loos in 1968.

Don was an avid boater and he and Jane spent many years boating on Lake George. They also had many great times in South Carolina at Morrells Inlet and Myrtle Beach during the winter months.

He and Jane had many dogs during their years of marriage. The last two were Jacque and Pumpkin (Little Girl) who was very dear to him.

Don was predeceased by his loving wife, Jane (Loos) Peltier. They were married for 51 years. He was also predeceased by his brother, Ted Peltier in 2013; his niece, Kim Peltier in 2015 and his nephew Tony Galasso in 1995.

He is survived by his dear nephew, Ted Peltier of Queensbury, his nephews, Dan Peltier of Hastings, Minnesota, and Lenny Galasso; his beloved granddaughter, April Montgomery of Kingston; his great nieces and nephews, Betty Burnett of S.C., and Ellen Anderson of Conn; also, his good friend and caregiver who went above and beyond, Barb Hoague; and Kate Fisher.

At the families request, there are no services.
