Donna A.
Davis
Jul 23, 1940 — Nov 13, 2023
South Glens Falls --- Donna A. Davis passed away peacefully on November 13, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born in Bellows Falls, VT on July 23, 1940. Her parents were Arnita (Wells) and Leland Gifford. Donna spent the majority of her life as a resident of South Glens Falls, NY.
Aside from her parents and mother-in-law June Davis, Donna was predeceased by siblings James McNaughton, Leland Gifford, Francis Gifford, Barbara Burton (Gifford), and Richard Gifford.
Donna is survived by her husband Jeffrey L Davis; her children Phillip (Therese), Chris (Judy), James (Marla), and Jeffrey. Grandchildren Tamara Fagle (Zach), Kaitlyn Beecher (Jeff), Tabitha McHugh (Josh), Alyssa Davis, Corina Davis, James Davis, Tyler Davis, Ryan Davis, and Matthew Davis. Great grandchildren Joelle Belair, Ella Fagle, Jordan Belair, Lydia Beecher, Benjamin Fagle, Emma McHugh, and Oliver McHugh. Sisters Leona Stark and Mona Smith (Bill) and a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Donna Davis held a master's degree in the art of unconditional love. Always available to lend a shoulder and an ear accompanied by kind words of advice, support, and unwavering encouragement.
As her family grew, Donna took up the hobby of scrapbooking. This venture found her creating a special bond with new friends all while preserving the memories of her beloved family.
As the mother of four amateur athletes, Donna became an avid fan of the wide world of sports; baseball, soccer, tennis, basketball, football, and golf. Long after her boys stopped playing, she found great pleasure in rooting for her favorites and respectfully rooting against their rivals.
Daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, dear friend; all titles on her resume, but the job she excelled at the most was as Jeff's wife. Donna and Jeff weren't a couple, they were one.
The most difficult part of compiling a remembrance of Donna Davis is putting the focus on a woman who lived every moment of her life placing the focus on others; her brothers and sisters and their families, her husband, her children and their families that included the beautiful relationships she shared with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Already missed by those who knew and loved her, Donna's loving spirit will never be forgotten.
The family would like to express a warm thanks to the caring professionals of Irongate Associates and St. Peter's Hospital.
Friends may join the family for visitation from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday December 2, 2023 at Baker Funeral Home at 11 Lafayette Street, Queensbury NY, 12804.
Condolences and floral arrangements may be sent to Baker Funeral Home, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
